Hello, I’m Elai (they/them). Using a person-centered approach, I believe that the client is the expert on themselves. Together, we can work to create a space that is equipped with what is needed for you to address whatever you are going through. I’m an independently licensed counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio and have been providing counseling services across a wide range of behavioral health settings since 2020, specializing in working with trauma treatment and the LGBTQIA+ community. I am also a kink and CNM affirming therapist. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University. Some of the therapeutic techniques I use in my practice include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (training completed via EMDRIA approved institute), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (though the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute).
